Itanagar Travel

Itanagar is the capital of the Arunachal Pradesh.The township is situated at 350 metres above mean sea level. No railway enters Arunachal. But Indian Airlines and Vayudoot do serve Tezu, Ziro and Pasighat. It's, in other words, India's largest north-eastern state. Itanagar is under the huge influence of Tibetan culture on the people living in this state. The beautiful yellow roofed shrine that was declared as a holy place by the Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama provides an extremely beautiful view of the region. This influence is also visualized as one walks through the by lanes of Itanagar on can see people dressed in the local dress of the Tibetan people.
Itanagar is the capital of India's largest North Eastern state.
Here one can find historical fort called Itafort, dating back to the 14-15 centuries, after which it is named. The capital houses the Rajbhawan , the official residence of the Governor has also many worth visiting places in and around Itanagar.
